Long way to the Church

At the moment the construction of the church complex is in the phase of completion. All engineering networks have been connected to the building of the Savior and Ascension Church. External repair works are 80% completed. The internal decoration is under way now:  tiles are laid, walls are painted, phone cables are connected. The major icon-stand has been completely assembled.

According to Sergey Morozov, he is satisfied with the pace of church construction but there are several pending issues related to construction, in particular the issue of the boulevard improvement, stretching from September the 12^th street to Sviaga. In compliance with the idea of the head of the region this is intended to be a pedestrian zone for a silent recreation. It is still unclear whether location of Marriot hotel, the construction of which has been already started just under the Church location, remains unchanged.

Tamara Dmitriyeva reminded that this street has been left unattended since 1970s. The governor complained that Minayev street was named after the famous countryman, but there is nothing at the street keeping memory of him. Sergey Morozov ordered to develop a number of related activities.

Tamara Dmitriyeva, the Assembly member is confident: “The historical truth has been being recovered. Everything was ruined and now it has been being reconstructed. We have a lot of green zones, many of which are relict. The governor is right, we do not know much about this street”.
To continue the topic of construction the governor shared the plans to create Sunday school in this area as well as necropolis restoration in Ulyanovsky park.

Among the first charity benefactors of the Church was Mikhail Gutseriev, RussNeft  President, who allocated around 10 mln rubles; Mikhail Uryasov, Dvorcovy ryad group of companies director and Oleg Lebedenko, Pyaterochka network director started allocating 300-350 thousand rubles monthly.
