Izhevsk. Udmurtia. The best students of Oil and Gas Institute at Udmurtsky State University were awarded Mikhail Gutseriev grant. Three graduate students were awarded the well-deserved grants by Bekkhan Agayev, State Duma deputy representing the Udmurt Republic, on September 25, 2013.
Last year brought significant changes into the life of the institute, the deputy said. The classrooms and the laboratories of the institute were fully fitted up with modern equipment, the new student campus was built within the shortest term. Agayev highlighted during his welcoming speech the stable development of Udmurtia which helps to improve and consolidate the social sphere and the educational system, being a part of it.
“You are lucky to be born and to study in Udmurtia. You did not witness, and I hope to God, you will not witness tragic moments of national and religious conflicts. Nowadays the Udmurt Republic sets an example of tolerance and national harmony. On the whole people have a normal life in the region, the companies are operating and make their products, people get salary”, he said.
Agayev stressed that the good native education is strategically important, he asked the students to try their best at receiving good education.
“All of us should become more efficient and the educational system as well. In order to be highly competitive with the leading world countries we should study better and work harder”, reported the deputy. The grants were awarded to Ignat Orlov, Ivan Chelnikov and Olga Kholmogorova. Each of them will receive 10 thousand rubles monthly during the academic year.
