Varioganneft allocated over 750 million rubles for the pipeline systems reliability improvement program
Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, continues implementation of the oilfield pipelines reliability and integrity improvement program which includes replacement, repair and upgrade of pipelines, industrial safety review on pipelines, inhibition and corrosion rate monitoring.
The company allocated 753 million rubles for this purpose, according to the company’s press service.
The company carried out the annual industrial safety expert review of 156 km of pipelines during the current period of 2013 which allowed timely identification of the main causes of the pipelines wear at early stages.
Besides, the company repaired and upgraded 33 km of pipelines using enhanced corrosion resistance pipes.
232 tons of corrosion inhibitors were pumped into the oil gathering systems during this period in order to slow down the corrosion wear process at the oilfield pipelines. So far, the overall length of the pipelines protected with inhibitors is 263 km.
Implementation of the complex program for the pipelines reliability improvement will allow OAO Varioganneft to enhance the environment in the area of its operations, mitigate its environment impact and products loss due to fewer faults of the equipment and lower rate of the pipelines failures.
