RussNeft and Gubkin Russian State University continue joint educational project
Saratov. Studies at the Regional Preparation Department of Gubkin Russian State University have been finished this day at OAO Saratovneftegaz. The joint educational project of RussNeft and the university initiated by President of the Company, Mikhail Gutseriev started in 2010. In 2011 the project was expanded, now involving not only Volga region but Western Siberia as well. Similar Regional Preparation Department was opened in Raduzhny at OAO Varioganneft, NK RussNeft subsidiary.
Totally above 50 graduates of the Regional Preparation Department from Siberia and the Volga region, incl. graduates of this year became students at Gubkin Russian State University according to target submission.
This autumn 32 graduates from Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions started preparing for the future study in Moscow. Children of the employees of OAO Saratovneftegaz, OAO Ulyanovskneft and their subsidiaries form the majority of the graduates. Above all, 9 people recommended by the administrations of the municipal districts of Saratov, where operational facilities of Saratovneftegaz are located, became the project’s participants this year. These are the winners of various contests and school contests who showed perfect knowledge in major studies. Thus another advantage of the project involves similar opportunities for the future students in submission to the leading oil and gas university of Russia irrespective of the place of living, whether from it’s a regional center or a village.

Gubkin Russian State University tutors teach major studies (mathematics and physics) at the Regional Preparation Department. Tailored study programs involve not only two visiting sessions during 2013-2014 at Saratovnedra study center (OAO Saratovneftegaz subsidiary) as well as a serious individual work of the graduates under tutors’ control.
Studying at the Regional Preparation Department lets the graduates to prepare for the state exams effectively and their future submission to Gubkin Russian State University.
Strategic target of the project is a preparation of highly-qualified specialists for the future work at OAO NK RussNeft and the companies involved into corporate structure of the Company.
Organizing the work of the Regional Preparation Department is another important stage in implementing the program of OAO NK RussNeft for preparation of young high-qualified specialists who will be much sought after both by the companies of the holding and oil and gas industry on the whole.
