Mikhail Gutseriev was honored with Best European Businessman award in 2013
Vienna. Mikhail Gutseriev, Russian businessman and philanthropist was honored with prestigious award which is annually awarded by an authoritative public organization Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation (CGDC). Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission and Felix Baumgartner, an Austrian sky-diver were awarded together with Mr. Gutseriev.
The award ceremony traditionally takes place in Vienna. The representatives of political, economic and cultural establishment of Europe and CIS get together in the capital of Austria to take part in it.
Bill Clinton, 42d President of the USA, CGDC Guest of Honor held the ceremony this year. Peter Stoyanov, President of Bulgaria in 1997-2002, Dr. Walter Schwimmer, Secretary General of the Council of Europe 1994-2004, Suleiman J. Al-Herbish, Director General, OPEC Fund for International Development, leading businessmen from Great Britain, the USA, India and China.
Experts from the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation highly appreciated success of Mikhail Gutseriev in major international business-projects and his charity activity achievements. Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission received Enhancing Mutual Understanding and Dialogue Amongst Diverse People award, Felix Baumgartner received Enhancing Sport in Dialogue award. He skydived from 39 km.
Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation is one of the major public organization developing all-round integration processes between the Eurasian countries. CGDC Expert Council determines the awards of Center for Global and Cooperation which are received by well-known politicians, businessmen, public person for achievements in the areas of their specialization. General Wesley Clark, Angelina Jolie, actress, and Anatoly Karpov , a Russian Chess Grandmaster, Prof. Mohammed Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, were among the awardees during the previous years.
