Saratovneftegaz supported the environmental event Saratov – town for living

The event was organized by Clean Volga regional public organization with support from Saratov department of Rosprirodnadzor (Russian environment supervision body). School children of all ages from more than 30 schools of the town participated in the event which was held from November till December within the framework of the Year of Environment Protection.

The main objective of Saratov – town for living event was development of an active ecological attitude, love to the native land, careful approach to the natural resources as well as building a concept of competent and ecologically reasonable utilization of domestic and industrial wastes.

The children had a task to collect as many plastic bottles as possible, which is the most typical solid domestic waste. Funds raised from their recycling, were allocated to support orphans and children without parents care.

Andrey Andryuschenko, head of Rosprirodnadzor Saratov department, deputies of Saratov regional parliament and managers of the regional Government took part in the solemn ceremony of enumeration. The winning schools received certificates and valuable presents (exercise machines) purchased with the sponsor’s money. The most active participants of the event, who did not take the prize places, were awarded with gift certificates for sport goods in a popular retail chain.

Significant material aid is given to many social institutions, inherently suffering from low budget allocations: hospitals, sport clubs, cultural centers, schools and kindergartens.
