Saratovneftegaz introduced the most up-to-date data gathering system
Saratov. OAO Saratovneftegaz, producing subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, developed and successfully introduced an instrumental software complex allowing to implement numerous systems for gathering and processing of data from metering units of various types (gas, liquids, electrical power).
User-friendly, multifunctional software complex Rivg became a convenient tool for creation of low-cost systems allowing online gathering, analysis and monitoring of information from facilities. All received data is stored in the common data base and could be viewed using a web portal. The system covers and ensures transparency of hydrocarbons production metering, power consumption at the facilities of OAO Saratovneftegaz located all over Saratov region, according to Saratovneftegaz.
The software complex systems, as the company reports, allow the personnel to continuously receive systemized information from the field, oil and gas pipelines, accurately respond to mere deviations of the process. The data provision method based on a standard web browser allows the dispatcher not only to monitor the operation of certain process facility, but also, if required, control it. So far, over 100 gas metering units and 50 ESP control stations, located at Saratovneftegaz gathering units and oil wells, are monitored. The data gathering system based on GPRS channel was also tested on the most important power metering units.
Development of Rivg software and telemetry systems hardware, performed by Industrial Automation Management (subsidiary of OAO Saratovneftegaz), allowed to save much funds, for the cost of the prototypes available in the market is much higher. Besides, operation of such systems reduces significantly the transport expenses related with data collection from LACT’s as well as eliminates long downtime of failed equipment and losses thereof, which greatly decreases the response time for possible failures.
